Children's Ministries

Children are our future.  That’s why at First Congregational Church, UCC, in Greeley we offer you and your children a holistic view of their spirituality. We understand God’s plan, as laid out in Deuteronomy 6, that raising spiritual children is a partnership between parents and the church.

We strive to create an environment where children can enter into God’s story, learning not only about God and Jesus, but also about themselves as children of God and a part of this family of faith.  Children encounter God with wonder and awe, respond to the Holy Spirit and experience the presence and guidance of God.

Young Children's Ministry Team
Infant and toddler care through age 2 1/2 is provided on Sunday mornings in the Little Lambs room downstairs from 9:15 until the end of the second worship service.

Sunday mornings during our 10:30 service we minister to preschool children, ages 3-kindergarten, with our Worship Centers program after the Children’s Moment.  During this worship time children are falling in love with God, making connections to their own lives and growing in their ability to retell God’s stories to others.

Elementary Ministry Team
We minister to elementary age children, grades 1-5, during the 10:30 service after the Children's Moment, with a Workshop Rotation that encourages Biblical literacy and teaches core Christian values. Children are introduced to various Bible stories and concepts through kid-friendly multi-media workshops, including drama, music/movement, games, video, puppets, storytelling, cooking, etc.
