Musical Opportunities at FCC
Chancel Choir- Open to singers high school aged through adult, our Chancel Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings mid-August through May, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This choir sings weekly in the 10:30 a.m. worship service, and presents two major works a year.
Chapel Ensembles- Open to singers/instrumentalists high school aged through adult, our Chapel Ensembles rehearse on selected Thursday evenings, September-May, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Music Room. These ensembles sing or play in the 8:00 a.m. worship service on selected Sundays.
Handbell Choir- Our handbell choir is open to high school aged through adult bell players. This group rehearses on Thursday evenings from 5:30-6:30 p.m. from September –May in Grace Hall, and plays once a month in the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
Genesis- Open to youth, grades 6-12, Genesis rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the chapel during the months of September-May, and sings in 10:30 a.m. service once a month. Genesis tours annually and is regularly involved in service projects.
Jubilation Choir- Open to youth, grades 2-5, Jubilation Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:25-7:25 p.m. in the music room, and sings in the 10:30 a.m. worship service once a month. Our children’s choirs traditionally present a children’s musical annually.
Rainbow Choir- Open to children in grades K-1, Rainbow Choir is an early childhood training choir, in which children participate in a variety of musical experiences. This choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:25-7:25 p.m. and sings periodically throughout the year during the 10:30 a.m. worship service.
